Toolmaking
The toolmaking of Binder + Wöhrle is characterized by speed, individuality, independence and extensive experience. In recent years, it has been constantly modernized and expanded with new equipment. The many modern machines enable us to develop and manufacture customized plastic profile and Bowden cable solutions for our customers.
Our machinery includes a starting hole drilling machine, a wire eroding machine, a CNC machining center, a surface grinding machine and many more.
Another advantage of our toolmaking is the use of our in-house CAD, CAM and Peps design. This enables a direct link between design and production. The close connection to plastic profile extrusion enables our team to ensure that tools are optimally tailored to the specific requirements of our customers.
Especially in development projects, it is also very valuable to make iteration steps in house. They can therefore be carried out in a few days instead of weeks.

Our expertise in tooling lies in the development and manufacture of complete extrusion dies with calibrations and all necessary components for the extrusion of plastic profiles, sheathing, multi-layer hoses, pipes and more.
Pressing tools for Bowden cable production and further processing of plastic profiles are also designed and built in-house.
Sonderlösungen
The extrusion of plastic profiles, especially products with filigree geometries or high dimensional requirements, requires often times individual processing methodology.
In our own tooling shop, we are able to adjust and control specific process parameters individually to the respective product. This enables us to extrude even difficult-to-process engineering and high-performance plastics.
